Hi,
I have a collection of free 3D models. Each model is archived in one zip file. I can't unpack all files, because some archives use the same names for textures or models.
It could be nice, if instead the zip symbol, the first 3D model in the file would be shown.
Also, it could be interesting to get an option like "read subdirectories and archives too". In this case, all subdirectories and zip file could be scanned and shown.
Regards,
Micha

Re: Wish: show thumbnails of all zip archives
Hello Micha,
I am not sure to understand why you don't see the content of your zip files.
When you double click on your Zip archive file, 3D Photo Browser displays its content and shows you the files it contains.
If the zip contains images or 3D files, a thumbnail is generated and you see it exactly as this is done in a non compressed folder.
In order to display the zip file in the thumbnails view and be able to double click on it, verify that View > Filter > Display compressed files if activated.
Anyway, your post point on a lack: you have to double click on a file to generate thumbnails of a zip file. You cannot use Scan Directories and Create Catalogs.
That could be a good idea to add this option in futur release.
Please notify, if there something I did not understand in your request.
Thanks,
Manuel

Hello Micha,
OK I understand. You would like the zip Icon being replaced by one of the file of its content!
The suggestion is very interesting. It will be added in the next release !
Thanks!
